.... i think i have such a queue of watches that I would love to hunt....and with three great GMTs already, I think its unlikely I will feel the GMT "thirst" before, for example, an early Sub, or transitional Sub. I have one Sub in my collection..... and ...

I had the same issues, when working on the topic. And, like Barion, I have a high level of exigence, when it comes to the 6542. The most important problem is the bakelite bezel: Finding an authentic one is difficlut... And in perfect condition, it is almo...

Once you discover the possibilities of this combination you really go to another level. It does not seem like such a big deal but when you start to compare specimens and you have dull and glossy gilt you can see the difference right away. Matt dials are i... 

Funnily, that was not always the case in ' 64 / ' 65, from what I had the possibility to see... As for the combinations, the GMTs hide some real treasures: Underline, Exclamation Dot, SYL, Tiffany, F.A.P... And in the matt family, the U.A.E, the Tiffany, ...

Here's mine from '63, not perfect though!...  

The watch looks fantastic. Beautiful gloss strong gilt. Looks like a PCG. Sweet faded insert. swiss t<25 over 5 index markers. Full package. What more can you want. Show us some more. Bill

There is some rubbing (not visible in that pic though) on the right side of the dial, and I'm not sure if it has been relumed or not. But overall it's not a bad piece, I still like it....  

The camera operates in strange ways. It is never fair choosing what the lens and the light want to feature. I hope it is not relumed as that takes away a little but if you like it enjoy it. Lazy hands sometimes create a circular swirl when they are fitted... 

I would like to see more detailed pictures... Did you opt for a plexy without magnifier? Cool visual effect! Best, Nicolas
