Incorrect Jocke...I took a small awl and tapped it with a hammer and it indeed moved a bit, grabbed the end with my pliers & pulled it out the rest of the way. The pin actually has small fins ( for want of a better expression ) on the end to keep it in, but is quite easily removable, which it has to be really otherwise you would never be able to remove a strap. Infact last night was succesful removing both deployments in this way from my rolex & tudor.

Thanks Jocke, I see what you mean...bit of an annoying design then really as I do change straps quite often and its obviously nice to stick with the orignal deployment. Dont know why they couldnt have just used a screwed pin really Cheers
