My view of things.........
It's like you're saying we can push out the pin but it is not thought that. The external grooves you are talking
about is supposed to lock the pin and it is disposable. When you mount it back again so are not fixed as
intended because the external grooves worn every time the stick is pushed in and out. So yes it is possible
but nothing I would recommend.

Thanks Jocke, I see what you mean...bit of an annoying design then really as I do change straps quite often and its obviously nice to stick with the orignal deployment. Dont know why they couldnt have just used a screwed pin really Cheers
