By coincidence I’m wearing a GMT today and probably will keep it during the weekend.
Ref 16750 from 1986.
Hand set is original but for some reason I have observed that both these watches and ref 5513 of same era handsets do not get same patina as indexes.

In no particular order… The overall dimensions, the fact it’s not a shiny new Rolex, the colours and the subtlety of the aluminium bezel, the patina of the lume pots and the hands.
Depends on the point of view.
For Rolex as a company the golden era startet with social media, when a broader audience was reachable or a bigger audience became aware of Rolex sports models. Hence the change by Rolex to more "mass appeal" watches in their design. For the collector the...
