A classic every time!
For probably the last 5 years, the 1680 Red Sub has been the watch that I wear more than any other watch.
Below is the "beater" example, which has a polished case and several non-original lume plots. This is the one I like to wear.
Top photo is the "before" picture, taken shortly after I bought it. You can see the brown spots on the 6/8/12 markers, and the sloppy dot on the 5 marker (the lume plots at 4/5/6 are not original to this dial).
Bottom photo is the "after" picture -- well worth the tiny amount of money to clean up the dial, as the remaining blemishes aren't visible to my naked eye.
The Red Sun is a wonderful timepiece and you own a superb example dear Nicolas!
As you know I own a white version gifted by my wife in 1977 and now it is retired for fear to being stolen such a deeply loved watch. I had always thought that just one 1680 in my collection was enough for me but several years ago I was offered a Red vers...
