I struggle with this decision really, surely the 'fakers' will manage to get what they need to make fakes anyway regardless of this RM decision.
To be honest my take is that people buying the watches need to exercise more caution. Buy only from a RM boutique or AD, and if you do buy second hand , then get it checked out at an RM boutique pre parting with the cash. I think RM should be vocal & welcome prospective buyers of 2nd RM's to a free authenticy check, even offer to be an intermediary in the transaction.
Some people that buy fakes are that stupid they deserve to get stung, on a high price ticket like an RM its common sense to get it checked out properly

Why did RM go to the SIHH?
If the people can not take some pictures what's the purpose? It's ridiculous that it's forbidden taking pictures in order to prevent the fakes' manufacturing. Is really so easy to built a Papiìs movement? Of course not.....and i've my own thoughts!

Errr - no -- it is 5000G. I know they tested the original

That's a fake, all the 52's ( as far as I am aware ) have hollowed out case openings,as below, little bits of that one look wrong to me also, but hard to be exact when the pic is not very good quality when blowing it up ...

I guess it is more difficult to make the holes in the ceramic but I prefer them on the Ti version.
