Not sure if I asked before or not but do you use a tripod. I know it's not as "cool' looking BUT it allows you to....
setup the framing and angles etc, AND then only concentrate on the subtle things like hands and feet and hair etc. Then when you trip the shutter you are ONLY looking at the face and expression. If you don't use a tripod when you trip the shutter you are still looking at framing and keeping it level and not at the subject.

My choice goes to #2 and #3 but I would love to see them with a sharper focus. It gives some softness to the image on the one hand, but looks a bit blurred on the other hand... Still very nice shots 👍👏👏

i shall ask the model to hold a little longer in subsequent sessions. there are usually other photographers and i only have 1 to 2 sec to focus (manually) 😅

however, most of these sessions where i take the photographs are organised by a studio and given there are other photographers, i do not have the luxury of time. and it does not help that i'm using manual focusing. guess i just need to keep practising and...
Ah. Yeah that complicates things when shooting like that. Can't your find a person to use as a model and you can take your time and work on things.

to define and refine one's experience... keep after it. Three different compositions and package of elements... nothing better than working a theme to widen the horizons. What was your take-away from this series? Casey .

i think i need to find some consistency in the quality of my photos. having said that, I'm just glad i don't do this for a living and can simply enjoy this as a hobby 😅
