as it is a new tone, it will disrupt Nautilus owner/fans a little bit (compared to the blue/black dials they are used to seeing). I saw the 5711/5726/5980 white versions lately and they are really interesting. Yet, I think I will say that I still prefer t... 

... about the markers. Its very true! They participate to the character of the watch as much as the white colored dial. That white-Blue feel was my 1st impression, and it reminded me of the idea of water, ocean, etc... but that's me

Thanks for sharing on a nice piece of "counter revolution" to the quartz "onslaught". I was perhaps too young then to understand the significant difference and preferred the 1st generation quartz for the instant read (no hour/minute hand), the push button... 

... you forgot about the casio calculator, that we thought would save us in our math exams ) I think it all stopped after the G-shock. At that time, nautilus felt so ugly, and for old people.... Look where we are now

Both the 5204P and the 5270G have blacked out hands and blacked out numeral outlines on the dial.

... i thought you meant the luminous hands and markers that are rounded with that dark color, don't know how to call, as its not really black. You got to see it in the metal and in natural light

.. darker dials tend to make a watch look smaller. Clear dials makes a watch feel bigger... So this white dial, so luminous, makes it feel like "really present" on the wrist. I had the 5726A, but got bored of it very very quickly. Too sober, chic, classy,...

Fricks, thanks for showing us the new version. Maybe I was quick to dismiss it when it was first released, but looking at your photos, I can now see the attraction in the lighter coloured dials. Having missed out on seeing some of the new watches at my AD...
