My question is very clear actually, I'm not asking anyone to predict the future, just asking their opinions about the two particular watch based on history which I can know very little about. That's it. Of course looks and styles are subjective to each individual and that's not what I am asking about.

It is obvious you are passionate about watches otherwise you wouldn't be spending considerable sums of money on Pateks. You come to this site for expertise opinions as an amateur watch collector, and you get shot down. Not everyone on this site is wealthy...

I would try to find a new 5070R. The line has been discontinued, but there are some new ones around. IMO the most beautiful PP on the market. The watch would also offer a stark contrast to your 5550P.

5970 is more beautiful for me
although I have no idea of investment. Watch shouldn't be treated primarily as an investment tool.
