I thought I was clear explaining I almost like both the same. And in that case, it only makes sense to ask people who knew better about the subject which is being the better direction. But it seems that I was not clear enough. Salih

... just saying that what should split your decision is the one that makes your heart beat a little faster, not the one that might gain value. For that, you are better asking dealers and AD's, and even them cannot read the future. How to predict the futur...

you liked 5270 more but took 5550P because it's a limited edition of 300 pieces. In case you have been following this site and the general spirit here, you should understand that after your comment you can't really expect very constructive and positive co...

... sorry, i might have sounded a bit harsh. Now, if i were you, i'd take the 5270. The movement is much superior, and it feels so too. Wind it, trigger the chrono, you will feel a world of difference with the 5970. The proportions of 5270 are also much m...

.... from what you said, i try to guess. You are more or less new to Patek. Chances are you will go for 5270G. You have a "fresh eye" on the issue. Actually we have more to learn from you that you from us :) The hardcore fans, will instantly be more under...

I would try to find a new 5070R. The line has been discontinued, but there are some new ones around. IMO the most beautiful PP on the market. The watch would also offer a stark contrast to your 5550P.
Buy it if you like it!

I paid 40% more than list price for my 5070G, definitely a bad investment, but I feel great when I wear it. It happens a couple o times a week. The G is the most understated so it hardly gets noticed by untrained eyes. Buy with your heart! in this way, yo...

Very well said. If one is soliciting advice on the investment potential of a particular piece they should probably direct their energy into developing a relationship with a dealer. This site is a pleasure to read because of the "love for watches" that exu...
