I always considered the 5270R to be my dream Patek but it was probably more a case of trying to fit a fantastic watch on to my small wrist. The watch should always fit the wrist and not vice versa. I feel that the 5940G fits my wrist perfectly probably due to its mind boggling slimness for a perpetual calendar and the 37mm diameter. Also, I have a soft spot for watches with Breguet numerals, let alone beautifully raised ones

The dial on this one is perfect and maintains the symmetry and proportion that the 3940 did so well. The varying sized numbers on the 5140 ruined it for me. If I buy another perpetual it will have to be this one. Looks fantastic in the white gold!

The 5940 looks like a better design - just look at the lovely minute markers compared to the fussy ones on the 5020. Also, the shape of the case is beautiful on the 5940 whereas it is more squarish on the 5020. The Breguet hands are a nice touch on the 50...
