Congratulations. I hope you cherish the moment of finding it and pulling the trigger. To me that’s the most exciting part! Wear it in good health! I tried 5970g in Vegas at the Wynn in October. They were asking 180k. Which I think is a fair price for it (... 

I have tried the 5270 - just didn’t look right to me with the leap yr and day/nite holes in the dial.. the lugs design also looks less refined..

Aside from the intrinsically incredible qualities of a 5970, I feen the white gold version is the most versatile and practical. The combination of white metal case/silver dial, allows it to be worn and look great from the most casual, sporty dress to blac... 

That’s why I chose the G.. I am usually very casually dressed, even at work.. thanks for your well wishes.. happy new year in deed

any expression of both the measuring of the future ("longue durée"/perpetual) and the "moment" as interpreted by Patek Philippe will be a true "grail" (unattainable by most); beautiful watch!

From the day I tried one on my wrist, I have thought about it endlessly..

I wanted a white metal as it’s easier to dress down.. that would maximize my enjoyment of the watch.. so it’s a P or G.. Then P is out becoz the 27, 29 and 3 on the date ring is shrunken, although very subtly so (and it’s out of my budget anyways).. ...

On finding your dream watch. The 5970 is a very special part of Patek Philippe’s History and is packed to the brim with PP DNA. I have loved the 5970 from its introduction and have been very fortunate to own a few. Enjoy and wear and stare in good health....
