I tried 5970g in Vegas at the Wynn in October. They were asking 180k. Which I think is a fair price for it (😜😜😜). But just couldn’t pull the trigger (already spent my annual watch budget several times over in 2023). But I told myself that I would consider it if there was a special event in my life (vs. 5270p salmon).

I have tried the 5270 - just didn’t look right to me with the leap yr and day/nite holes in the dial.. the lugs design also looks less refined..

I wanted a white metal as it’s easier to dress down.. that would maximize my enjoyment of the watch.. so it’s a P or G.. Then P is out becoz the 27, 29 and 3 on the date ring is shrunken, although very subtly so (and it’s out of my budget anyways).. ...
