My brother suspected the winding mechanism of his 5065 is not working properly with some unexpected noise, which watch was repaired by PP service centre in years ago due to manufacturer's problem and no other service at all sicne then.
So my brother handed a 5065 to PP service centre in Hong Kong via a usual watch company. However, it cost extremely high from PP. What would you guess?

... base on the current condition of your patek 5065/1A and due to your warranty ( possibily ) being expired, in order to repair your watch, an overhaul maybe required. I would guess a rough figure of little short of us$ 2K ?? IT is similar to driving you...

Everything is absolutely fine but when the crown is turned clockwise or anticlockwise, it feels not smooth as Patek do. That is the case. Anyway, PP 5065 equipped with a 324SC should not be classified as any Complication II in any sense. Should the servic...

Unlike many here, I am not a watch collector. In fact, I don't collect much "stuff" at all. But I really do like to have nice stuff, if I'm going to have any stuff at all. (Or if it's going to be cheezy stuff, it ought to have high sentimental value.) It ...

Hi, As already answered above your brother certainly received a quotation of the work to be done before allowing it. Then I suppose the invoice was identical to the quotation. Maintenance costs indicated on the PP website are just bases for the service of...

they have to charge more
By: nice2guy : August 11th, 2009-06:07
If the service center charged everybody what they say a routine service charge is, I believe they would lose money (or certainly not make anything). Some of the experts here would know how many hours it takes to take apart one of these watches, clean, oil...
