RIP 5970p..... Had a call from my AD today.....
He was calling about something else when he said that he had received a letter today from PP saying that along with others the 5970p is now "retired"
So the 5970p was announced this year in Basel and here we are in November and it's all over....This must go down as one of the shortest runs of standard production complications???? Any thoughts?. RIP 5970p we love you (well some of us do anyway)

Earlier , i tried to ask of this question in a similar form ..
WHich is greater than ( > ) in production number , and which model we think is smaller than ( < ) Patek 5970 production : WG > RG > YG > PT or WG > RG > PT > YG some say, YG version may have a smaller number in production than PT .... your view ??

My AD has this opinion.......And he seems to be in the know...

My personal favorite is the 5970G
Love the silver dial on the 5970G. I think the dial fantastic. I hope they make another 5970 somewhere down the road... It is a very nice watch indeed!
Discontinued Models
What else has been discontinued?? I guess the market must be right with the expectation of a gents All New Chrono similar to what has been recently revealed in Paris!!

Thought the would cancel it in April in Basel, that's very early but expected anyway. IMO the next one will be 5980 sooner or later. Both are important watches in the history of Patek!
