Patek Philippe 5370P: Black or Blue?
To be fair, I only saw the 5370P Black in the real. I was under the charm of its deep black dial. I didn't see the blue, so I will expect to see it in the real before any final judgement. I have my doubts, truth to be told.
Both are enamel, of course, but making a nice blue dial is quite challenging, even more when it comes to an enamel dial. Will the hue be your taste?

If somebody will say black and blue, I would say 5959 instaed :-)
However, if one of these two then the black, although I have not seen the blue in the flesh ... ahhhaaa ... Saviour of the universe!
It's a pretty close call, but I probably still like the classical black dial better on the 5370...Its combination of class and elegance are just hard to beat.
I'll be interested to see, however, if the popularity of the blue version will increase during the next few years when this version begins circulating...we might be in for some big surprises! ;-)
I think it's pretty much landslide already, but I'll cast my vote for black anyway
Blue would have been VERY nice if it was navy blue (ie darker). Shame.
I would choose Black. The Blue is a bit pale and washed out. A deeper, richer Blue would have been better.
But I understand why Patek would choose the current shade of Blue to create a clear differentiation with the Black dial version. Darker shades of Blue often look Black. Cheers, John

I’d almost always choose blue over black, but not in this case.
This particular watch demands black or a darker, deeper blue. If they really wanted to throw a curve, instead of this light shade of blue make it salmon with charcoal numbers, hands and indices.
It's really just...
...'classic' or 'sporty.' I've tried on a friend's black dial...it is very nice (said in a Borat voice) : ) If I had the choice? Well...sadly I don't...
Black and blue
The black one to me looks more formal. Judging by the photos the hue of the blue one is lighter than the watch in real. From the pictures I would select black. But having seen them both fir real, I recall the blue one stood out (and was bit darker blue)
If you had to pick one, I would pick black
This is what we are used to and what is expected. Blue is fantastic though, makes it a different watch. Would get both if you could!
