Patek Philippe 5130R / 5230R.

As a fan of world timers, I paid a lot of attention to the modern Patek ones. From the 5110 in 2000, to the latest reference, the 5230.
I own the 5110P, used to own for several years the 5130G, and, from time to time, I can see the 5230, in both G and R versions.
The Rose gold, very recently.
I was lucky enough to localize both 5130 and 5230 in rose gold, at the same place, and could take some pictures of them, to show the differences, their own character.
The 5130. Sensual, with its round case and lugs. Sober with all white dial. Just with a subtle contrast due to the rose gold indices and hands, and the 24 hours ring.
The 5230 is very different. Less discreet, more contrasted, with a different guilloché for the dial, the hands, the proportions of the case which is one millimeter smaller, and these lugs which break the round lines of the case.
Even the hands are different. And the bezel, which is " flat ", at the difference of the 5130 one, which is bombed.
And, of course, no crown guards for the 5230!
Individually, you cannot really notice the difference of size. But side by side, yes, you can see it:
One thing I didn't notice, before this side by side picture, is that the lugs of the 5130 are much longer!
Indeed, two different characters.
When I saw the 5230 in rose gold and in white gold, I hoped that a platinum version would come. And I still hope so. I am curious to see what would be the dial in the " P ".
Which one do you prefer, finally?
Best,
Nicolas
