5230 for me
I own the G, and I hope to add the 5231J. Just declaring my bias right away there. To be honest, I never noticed the longer lugs of the 5130, but that is a big plus for the 5230, in my opinion. All of this comes down to preference as both are very well made and beautiful watches, but my tastes go to the smaller case, the guilloche, and the lugs and lack of crown guard that harken back to the 2523 of the 5230. I think it’s a reference that is being overlooked at the moment perhaps due to how they priced it compared to its predecessors - not that this should become a conversation about that, but I do think it makes a difference.

The 5230 in general is probably not as popular yet, but I feel we are getting there. I'm also looking forward to the P -- both for the 5230 and (by the time I'm old) 5231

I would prefer the dial of the 5230 with the case of the 5130m as I really like the crown guard. Patek, please make it so.

When the 5130 was released even though the size looked more modern, personally I did not like the hours hand, it was always preventing me from liking this watch (and still) I believe that the dial as well as the hours hand on the “new” 5230 are nicer. As ...

i prefer the 5230 over the 5130 because of the guilloche finishing & the case (size & shape). but if the 5110 was put into the comparison=5110 > 5230 > 5130 the guilloche, case size, shape & proportion are just perfect IMHO cheers
