I love its predecessor 5050. I think that the retrograde complication is lovely and the proportions of the dial just perfect. I know that, these times, these references are not so popular, but even Nautilus 3710 was not sought after 10 years ago. Best, ...

A big congrats on acquiring a beautiful timepiece. I am a big fan of the 5496 and was fairly close some time ago in going for the brown dial P. What held me back was primarily my attachment to my 5960p as I could not justify having both in my box.... yes ... 

The 5496P is a very under-appreciated watch at the moment, but it will become a classic after it is discontinued.

...amazing presence in person. The tiny, applied numbers are very special. My only concern is that it's just a bit too thick. Perhaps a 240 transplant? Even so, I am tempted. It's very nice...enjoy!

and if you can buy without worrying about resale value all the better. You can wear and enjoy without worrying about the smallest mark. Not all things make financial sense but are well worth it.

Super watch! I always wondered why retrograde perps seems to be less popular. I really like the retrograde; it represents a complication within a complication and hence takes the perpetual calendar to the next level. Excellent pickup!

It is an amazing complication that is grossly under appreciated. Why? No idea.
