Nowadays, discontinuing doesn’t mean much...
if being collectible or desirable is what you are looking for, assuming.
It may mean something better is replacing it, like the black dial or the blue WG model.
The 5170G white dial was also discontinued, as a similar example.
This white dial 5960/1A has not been popular, probably due to its bracelet.
I think it looks really good.

I heard some rumors regarding 5960a w/ white dial.
Seen couple weeks ago back in December last yr, says that patek is discontinuing 5960 white dial. Has anyone heard something similar? Sourced from a collector on instagram. Still I can see it on pp website also I just paid a visit to the ad before Christm...

Some of the brand new 5960/1A are going for a big discount here in the UK. Good pre-owned examples are going for 25% less. I think it might be the bracelet that has divided the opinions. I guess we'll find out what happens to these pieces in a few years.
