I like this model white 5960/1A very much!
I think it's the right step to go for Patek. Apart from Nautilus and Aquanaut, a steel watch from PP is very rare.
As this 5960/1A either white or black is not very popular, PP may discontinue in order to increase the collector's value.
PP did the same game so many times. Due to the fact, that the 5960/1A is not popular, there are not that much examples out there. If you could get one, take it. In some years, the people will realise how beautiful this model is, and demand especially for steel one will increase dramatically!
I heard some rumors regarding 5960a w/ white dial.
Seen couple weeks ago back in December last yr, says that patek is discontinuing 5960 white dial. Has anyone heard something similar? Sourced from a collector on instagram. Still I can see it on pp website also I just paid a visit to the ad before Christm...

if being collectible or desirable is what you are looking for, assuming. It may mean something better is replacing it, like the black dial or the blue WG model. The 5170G white dial was also discontinued, as a similar example. This white dial 5960/1A has ...

It is a nice watch and I like it a lot but for some reason every AD that I have been to has at least one
Some of the brand new 5960/1A are going for a big discount here in the UK. Good pre-owned examples are going for 25% less. I think it might be the bracelet that has divided the opinions. I guess we'll find out what happens to these pieces in a few years.

I'm not a PP buyer for the most part but this is actually a watch I do like (and the 5205 with similar dial layout for calendar).
