Thank you for your answer. But what would be the point of having an extract from the archives knowing that the watch currently holds all papers ? As it would never state the the watch "turned into" a 3940G-013 ?

80 and 60 were just figures to use as an example. I'd study the market carefully for these specific variants to get a real idea of prices.

I’m pretty sure when Patek agrees to change a dial at a customers request, they return the original dial to the requester. If it comes with the original I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it. Good luck!

Nope, Patek was not giving back the original dial (that is the common process)

Only impression is that if you actually ask, this means something to you ! But this is just my personal opinion, I am not the one buying it ! Good luck in your choice, as it is such a remarkable watch.

Hands were indeed modified too ! This dial/hands combination is EXACTLY what I want. Yet, I'm concerned about the value of the watch itself if I resell it in some time. Best, ...  

To me, given authenticity is proven, the issue on relative value is whether this configuration is desirable to many others (i.e. same taste as you) in the future. Since you will not have the original dial and hands for the next owner to restore it back, I... 

...but am not a fan of flipping the IV and the VIII.
