Previously our member keks did a roll call for 5960 owners and this was the last update
that brings our count to a respectable 77 add 1(me)
Breakdown as follows:
P blue 1/1: 1
A white LCFC: 2
A white : 29
A black : 18
P gray : 12 add 1
P black : 4
P blue : 4
G blue : 6
R gray : 1
As some will know I always wanted a 5960 and was leaning to the SS version...why? Conventional wisdom is to always try to get SS Patek Philippe watches due to its rarity and potential.
Last year when PP announced the discontinuation of the 5960 after producing from 2006, I sensed the slight urge to do this sooner than later.
The A-white was my initial choice but I also have some reservations on the bracelet and was prepared to get a strap like some members do. Then came the Black which is even better due to short production time for a year and that piece is now a “collector” piece - wink wink
Therefore, going through many blogs and videos, I think the Pt version is most underrated and it make more sense to me now. The Blue or Black dial Pt version are super nice too but I think it’s time to choose something different.
I like the PR hands not going over the brand name and the 12-hr chrono counter.
Looking at keks’ tally, if our community is a good statistical representation of the collection, do you still think SS is rare?
Anyways, I am happy with this choice but again, I’m clueless so take it with a grain of salt 😂
Love the sunburst dial
