They are very nice to you...already indication you're their VIP. So if I understand the relationship correctly, first you need to get a Perpertual Calendar from them? I didn't ask my AD or PP Salon for any 5131R but maybe I should, since it's in the catal... 

the 5131R is likely to be discontinued by the end of this year according to the Patek director so do order one now if you want one. Actually, the 5940G was the last Patek I purchased. The first was a 5153G followed by the 5575G, the 7200R London Edition, ... 

the introduction of the 5131P at Basel this year has prompted Patek to just focus on this watch instead of the 5131R and the P simultaneously. I cannot imagine the waiting list for the P which has a beautiful enamel dial but is arguably pretty heavy with ...  

Do all the 5940Gs have the same white dial?l. It seems like your dial is more of a cream color than pure white. It might be the light in the photo. Thanks

comes with either a silver or black dial. The black dial version is still in production. I will give the photographer the full credit (Of course it was not me ) for succeeding in turning the silver dial into a cream coloured dial. Such talent is rare And ...

Yes that thought crossed my mind too and at least you are still able to use yours in your job. I will just walk around Kuala Lumpur with the bag trying to look important!!

that the bag is fairly discrete with only the Calatrava Cross and no mention of Patek Philippe on it. Actually, when I first set on eyes it, I knew I had seen the bag somewhere before even though I was told that this bag was new to the UK market. And of c... 

But unfortunately good customer service is lacking these days even among the luxury brands. Or perhaps I just have not been spoiling myself enough!!

Not sure if I did anything too extraordinary apart from remaining loyal to one company!

I will keep returning to the UK, hopefully to Scotland where the scenery is breathtaking. I will still buy all my Pateks from the UK as customer service and product knowledge is important to me, something I feel is lacking in Malaysia. You take care and h...

Retirement will be quite daunting especially with the missing monthly salary! But I do hope to make that pilgrimage to Basel every other year at least. Something for me to look forward to. I think the next chapter in my life will be occupied with lots of ...

Yes, I must confess I love the brand and will return to the UK should I be invited for any of the events. I will hopefully have fewer dilemmas on what to buy next (being in retired should help! but I do thank you for your encouragement, support and good w...

I like the way that you said that they have a smaller note pad that I should try to get. I have never asked for any gifts from Patek or my AD and would never dream of doing so. In fact similarly, I have never asked for a single pay rise in my 25 years in ... 

I then realized that my first purchase the gifts were great and then gradually waned significantly to zilch!! I now prefer the more direct approach like "obviously you will give me a spare strap, travel watch roll or....."". That way we know where we stan...

You could open a shop!! To be honest, I think I have too many Patek pens, ties, wallets and I keep them all in their original packaging and have not used a single item, apart from a tie. Nope, they are not double sealed!!

5 Pateks in 3 years. Retirement...I guess you have a lot of time on your hands. Ha. Sorry. Couldn't resist that. But seriously...Congratulations on retirement and moving on to other pursuits.

My other pursuits should be a less stressful and more enjoyable - charity work, squash, swimming, visiting watch fairs and making love!

Many luxury companies these days fall short of good customer service so when I encounter a company like Patek, I do appreciate this quite a lot as I do not expect it (even if some may argue that it is deserved). I recall how touched I was when they invite...
