But I agree that the actions of some Patek AD's are looking a little shady.
In the end all these hot Patek watches are ending up in the places where someone is most willing to pay the highest price. There is no written contract that says Patek authorized dealers MUST sell at the retail price 'suggested' by Patek. Remember a MSRP is a manufacturer's SUGGESTED retail price, so as far as I know there is nothing to stop one Patek AD selling a hot piece to another Patek AD in a different country who can then sell it for 30% more than the MSRP.
