Well I have been wearing the 5235G nearly every day now for the past 3 weeks.
i have mainly only positive comments to make:
1. The watch is comfortable to wear. The buckle sometimes catches on things (can be a problem wheh typing on a laptiop keyboard for example) and i worry about the longevity of an alligator strap for a daily but time will tell on that one.
2. It is supremely accurate. I just checked and it is spot on to the second after having been set 10 days ago!
3. Telling the time - easy after a while. Most of the time you are fairly certain of the hour you are in and it is the minutes that are important and the watch works very well for that. If you need the hour as well it just takes a second or two to assimilate. This is part of the fun of the watch to me and the reason you are generally sure of the hour is you keep looking at it since it is mesmerising
Something that would make it easier and would mirror certain regulator clock dials would be a jump hour numerical display, then the hour would be really clear and present. Likely you would need to remove the calendar function in this case to avoid confusion. This maybe the way PP might go if they bought out another Regulator perhaps.
4. Annual Calendar - again very easy to read and very useful for a daily wearer (if a little unnecessary for a true Regulator). Easy to read even for someone like me who should wear reading glasses more often. Very happy with this. I do like the date presentation in something like the Langematik Perpetual but it would look totally out of place here.
5. Power reserve - I have seen 36-50 hours here. Not quite the 60 PP originally advertised but enough for most circumstances. The watch is incredibly easy to reset if required (stop second hand helps).
6. I am really happy about this being the first non-Limited Edition movement with all the new PP technology which will hopefully see this as an even more accurate, more reliable watch and thus no fear to wear and enjoy.
The only negative I have is I was a little surprised that the minute hand alignment I noted in a separate thread is considered 'normal' but in day to day use versus my OCD this is a non-issue.
So I will continue to wear the watch often, at least 2-3 days a week.
Finally the obligatory wrist shot, looking my car dials perhaps why I was drawn to the 5235?
