I have owned both and miss the 5575G more. The moon is still the most enchanting moon in any watch, the design of the lugs is very special and make the 39.8mm case more wearable than the 39.5mm case of the 5131R. Yes admittedly, reading the time on the 5575G is not so easy compared to the 5131R and the enamel dial of the 5131R is unique especially if one has a model with a lot of snow in Siberia and Alaska. There will always be more (perhaps three time more) 5575G than 5131R but the 5575G remains the only Patek that I loved and sold. As a rule, I do not sell watches that I love but I reluctantly did with the 5575G because a friend of mine scratched the case with her diamond ring - a truly heart breaking experience. I proudly wore the 5575G during many Patek events including the factory visit and it made me feel extra special. I never did wear my 5131R and have no regrets.

I hear what you say on movement....but when the watches have such different personalities, it becomes much less of a problem for me. But i have to say, i would not place the 5110 above these two in a hierarchy.

I hear what you say on the 5575.....but.....
......you cannot tell how much love you might have had for the 5131R if you never wore it. I find it hard to differentiate these two as they have such different personalities.

More like a small annoyance at the stupidity of DST. And it is the principal of it. I would LOVE a 5131, but my stubbornness (masochism?) will not allow it.

They are wrong 6 months of the year !! We nitpick about=/- 10 secs a day,and I don't hear many people raise the DST issue!

I guess one can get custom cities ring, but that does not fix the undelying problem. Once you live with no time adjustments, it sucks to go back. So I try to avoid any travels during those 2 weekends (and inevitably get to travel exactly then).

5131R!, although both are fantastic. The virtues of the 5131R have already been stated in this thread. The 5575 stands on its own functionally and aesthetically in a most alluring way.
In bright light, particularly in sunlight, the sky is mesmerizing. And under a loupe, the tiny stars are not shaped as dots, but as actual stars. And the moon is highly realistic and detailed. Plus, it is a limited edition piece which adds to the appeal. ...
