And as we have discussed this very subject I admire your trilogy and know what it means to you. We have the same draw just to different things thank God.
For me the 5970 was so exciting as the 3970 just didn’t work for me due to the proportions and round pushers. The PC just ignited my obsession in complications. I longed and drooled over the 1518 for years but always knew for me it was unwearable due to its small size and unobtainable due to its high price tag at the time. But the 1518 with its pushers made my heart flutter. So when the 5970 came out my prayers had been answered. My love of complicated Patek’s had well and truly been ignited.
The 5970r and 5970j gave me that same fluttering feeling they to me perfectly replicate the Vintage feeling that I longed for. The Rose is perfect in every way. My G with the Salmon dial gave me the same flutter during the London Exhibition with an unprecedented “Vintage “ feel in fact more so than the R but very similar.
The 5970p as beautiful as it is to me is cold and soulless and doesn’t give any vintage feel. In the same way as The 5131p gives the same cold feeling which IMO works perfectly for this particular version of this dial.
This said Joe I respect your focus and know how much your white trio means to you.
Just look forward to seeing a soft, warm vintage looking PC in your box one day 😉.

But don’t get me wrong the 5970p is a supper watch. My favourite pic of mine below. The 2 side by side to get the point.
