I wanted to do the aurora's this year, heard that the solar activity has been greater than usual...but just understood what means to have 2 new babies at home... maybe next year; I was going to desist but the way you describe it seems doable even for me!

How far are you from Levi? I may be going to Levi in February and I was wondering if I will see the Northern lights at this time of the year?
Levi is about 200 km
southwest from here. I would guess that Levi is 80-100 km north from the Polar Circle meaning that Northern Lights are very common there. There's some great night life in Levi so be careful... Best, Kari

Your bad luck Kari,It happens like one day a year and specifically on that day you decided to take the Alex-Cairo road which we call the dessert road..... By the way there is a huge difference between both storms...Sand storm give me hard time breathing.....
