Information needed on my special edition Patek 3919J
I bought my Patek 3919J back in 2001 in Singapore.
It is a white gold model, but differs from any other 3919 I've ever seen because of two attributes:
1. It has a see through skeleton back
2. The numbers and marks on the watch face are silver colored rather than black.
It makes for a very elegant watch that I use everyday.
Someone told me it could be rare. Does anyone know the rarity of this watch?
Thanks.
FD

Asian market
By: sam1234 : April 24th, 2013-19:05
There were some examples of the 3919 produced for the Asian market as you describe. The only ones that I've ever seen have been in white gold and have applied, rather than painted, Roman markers on the dial. The display back makes this model more desirabl...

Great looking watch!

I believe this was made in a series of ~500 (but Patek never confirms this of course) for the Asian market in the late 1990s. Definitely more rare than the standard run of 3919J and 3919G, but 500 for any Patek is not ultra rare to be honest. Ref: 3919SG-...
