I want to emphasize that what you described, and I described above, aren't true shaped calibers.

 

The point of shaped movements maximize space usage. These are observatory movements from Daini Seikosha and Suwa Seikosha, the area of both is ~700 mm^2, and they are able to fit a much larger balance, barrel, and train than in a circular movement could in the same area. Squared round movements don't give better performance, while shaped movements do.
