On a vintage watch, okay yes, I can accept the argument that the additional retailer branding or state symbol (think of the Khanjar) sets the watch apart even more and so there is a premium for it. You will not find it being made anymore obviously and it ... 

You mention 2 additional important factors in addition to the aesthetic value (or not) of having co-branding. One, exclusivity. Take 5711/1A, relatively (to demand) low productions then add Tiffany" and it is far more exclusive. An extreme example of this... 

However, yes it's a matter of taste. I was told the higher end complications will not have this because there simply is not enough room on the dials too.

As anyone can take their watch purchased from Tif and get it printed on dial. Thus can easily be common. On vintage timepieces it could add value.

Some like it, but for me it's a deal breaker. Don't care for the co-branding at all.
