You never go wrong with a classy petite seconde calatrava. The case is very thin and elegant. it will never go out of style
And it’s the most affordable of the four!
And I find it to be one of the nicest calatravas I know (but of course there are many I just don’t know of).
5110 is my favorite here

Yes, these cases really appeal to me.
I find the Lange cases a tad more “rigid” (not the right word though). And the sporty look of the 5960 isn’t very attractive.
Different approaches
Lange is more angular, rigid, less emotive I guess. fantastic finishing though and I love that! Funny, I don't find the 5960 sporty, I see elegance and class!
The finishing on the Lange timepieces is really first class, yes.
As for the 5960, I completely agree that it has elegance an class. But it's a chrono, with what I see as sporty touches: the red hand & numerals of the sub dial.

Out of these, I really like the 5110R.
The 5110R is SOOOO nice. It's thin. It's elegant. The 5960R is very nice too, but it's really quite thick. Vertical clutch, so has to be about 1mm thicker than normal chronographs. Really cool watch. And I really like the 5196J too - although the 215 move...

The RG cases are warm and elegant , with a
vintage feel ! For me, 5110 is a special reference, giving the aura of traveling the globe

Excellent choices. Would make an exceptional 4 watch collection each with different functions from time only, to complication, to so called "grand complication"
But my personal choice without a moment's hesitation would her 5050. Full perpetual with moonphase, retrograde date and sweep seconds. And (at least at this point in time) vastly under appreciated and undervalued. And to my eye, exceptionally beautiful. B...

one day I will jump for a 5196
not the most incredible watch but quintessential Calatrava and they size is perfect IMO. The 5050 gets extra points for quirkiness, a lovely reference

5196R and 5110R for me.
If I have to pick one between these two, I'd say 5196 as it is simpler and "less is more".
