I don't own a watch...
... that has a lower resale than what I bought it for. Early pieces I got in 2000-2003 are all above their original price. The cars I owned back then (including Ferrari, Porsche etc.) are mostly forgotten now. But these watches - I still enjoy them every day.

Here in Singapore , the car costs 2.5 times more than the watch. So without saying the car will come first.

how about against the 5204p or the 5976G or the 5711p 😉?
The difference is simple...
The watch will still be there when the car is long forgotten. One is investment, the other is consumption.

My brother comments always that my watch costs what his boat does. I say you use your boat for 12-14 weekends per year. I use my watch nearly every day and get joy out of it every time I look at it. It is no comparison. The watch wins every time.
