I appreciate the rarity of quality that Patek offers
I am impressed by a great number of their pieces and find their crafstmanship excuisite. I especially like the elegance they offer to both complicated and simple watches. This to me is rare. Rarity in numbers is very subjective. The Rolex submariner is not rare but perhaps more loved than any other watch. Sure many vintage pieces are rare, but even in this example the term rarity is relative. I've come to learn that Limited Editions are a farce with brands offering the same movement in a different case or dial variation. This doesn't appeal to me.. in most cases 
. If the piece doesn't look beautiful or feel good on the wrist it won't last in my collection whether it is "rare" or common. I wouldn't choose one Patek over another due to rarity. It would all come down to which watch gives me more pleasure. Best,
