I got today an unexpected call from an AD friend. He told me that he has kept two Anniversary Watches waiting for me: 5575G and 5975G He added that I can buy one if I want. I did not even think about buying one because I thought it would be too difficult....

Although I know I'd take the Chrono. But if one is unsure, why take a chance and be unhappy later.

but I guess in France, with only one AD, their are a lot of clients looking for one. If I had found one abroad I would have got it already. I love its case and bezel, much more interesting than the 5170's one, even if the 5170's case, more simple, is more... 

When I have made up my mind, I will let you know by PM. It might take some time because my business schedules are quite tight and it takes some time before I can see the watches in metal. Luckily, the AD promised to keep the watches till I get the time. I...

I did not consider these watches because I thought those are not available. I have earlier decided to get either 5170G or 5370P. An automatic chronograph would also make a nice pair to a manual winding chrono... Best, Kari

... both are great, you cannot go wrong with either. Now i have a slight preference for the 5575G, as the white gold on the 5975G in combo with that dial, makes it a bit cold ( dry ). Works best with J and R,... and of course P. The 5575G is simply stunni... 

The AD promised to keep those and I understood that he has wisely kept these aside for clients who are also considering something "big". I have a dilemma between 5370P vs. 5078P as my "final" watch. That gives some bargaining power because I will buy eith... 

1. 5575 is great piece of art but, readability is poor and second, Moscow time is wrong - which is important for me. Athough I like this watch a lot - reason to move from Moscow to Toscana maybe:) 2. Chrono - I dont get it at all. If you are going to buy ...  

I will get next week the Anniversary book and will have a closer look at the watches. However, these watches do not drive me crazy even they are nice. Ed, are you a hunter? You speak like one. Many Russians are great bear hunters and I have been hunting U...

even if I agree on other matters :) For me the 5975 chrono is not a usual 2 subdials chrono. It is a measurement instrument for 3 types of data: Speed, heartbeats and distance seperating an event from the oberver. Thus, the "chrono" doesn't need more than... 

100% agree with you on that: Concerning the 2 pushers vs Monopusher, I would find the 2 pushers choice more balanced aesthetically speaking (even if I like the monopusher too). The problem of the monopusher is that it is usually bigger and sometime is not...

They aren't that hard to get, and I'm sure you know these watches as well as anyone. You have seen all the photos, read all the reviews, probably tried them on, so..... There is no problem, buy or pass them both! If not possible then flip a coin, clearly ... 

I did not imagine that I could get one. I have not seen the watches in metal and only yesterday I started to look at the pictures more carefully as well as to read the articles. In other words, I know much less about these watches that about Patek's produ...

While you're being offered the 5975G, the J to me really goes the best. Beautiful dial and it has that vintage feel. The case is absolutely phoenominal in the flesh and while I it does lack sub dials the whole thing works for me. I have many chromos both ...

Kari, but in case 2, the AD should OPEN the plastic at the time of purchase, no? When I bought my 5131g I have immidetly asked to open the plastic envelope and put it on my hand.

Furthermore, the AD has thrown the box to garbage but who would want it anyhow. I am sure that all these double sealed rare watches are coming either from the AD or bought by Mala Fide buyers. Best, Kari

5575 didn't t talk to me from the beginning and it does less every day. 5975 is a very nice watch, beautiful case and very special dial. I must consider that I would much more prefer this watch if it would have been executed with their hand-winding moveme...  

I do not have any options: G is the only metal available. If there would have been all the options available, I would have chosen P with black dial. But we do not live, unfortunately, in a perfect world. Anyhow, I am quite happy with my decision. Perhaps ... 

and twice on Sundays! Much prefer the world time and love that dial over the 5975 chrono.

You've got the 5110 P, which is the essence of the modern PP worldtime (as far as i'm concerned). For the 5975, it is a modern watch with a dated design. If you like vintage, buy a true vintage. My 2 cts.
