I spent an enjoyable period comparing the 5204, 5270, 5372, 5959 and 5370 (I am a chronograph fan). Although they are not direct comparisons, the 5370 stood out for me for many of the reasons you mentioned, the only thing I would add is every square millimetre of this timepiece has been finished beautifully and exceeds the norm for a grand complication even by PP standards. Let me explain............I have always loved A Lange & Sohne for their beautiful movements, the 5370 is one of the first PP that I have seen that stirs the soul in the same way as a Double Split or Datograph, the intricacy and fine finishing is discreet and unrivalled. The dial is equally captivating, the impact of the white gold Breguet numerals against the polished enamaled dial is magical! Unlike many collectors, I am not a huge fan of enameled dials, if not executed well they can seem tacky, but the simplicity of this combination works incredibly well and provides a modern vintage feel like nothing I have seen in the last 20 years or more. Last but not least is the case, in my opinion this has not been mentioned enough and what really completes the 5370. The work that has gone into creating the two tone finish and gentle, yet ornate curves of the case is amazing considering this is a platinum case. I have many platinum timepieces and have yet to witness such craftmanship from PP, let alone another brand.
