Four weeks on the wrist
After long thinking about which version of the 5960 I should add to my collection I made my choice for a steel version. Initially, I was planning to see the black and white dial versions side by side at my AD, but the black has not yet been delivered in Germany. But as time went by the white became more and more my favourite of the two and I pulled the trigger.
Now I had the watch on my wrist for 4 weeks and all I can say is WOW! This watch really got me. Imho the look of the dial is simply great. The new dial layout compared to the P versions, the contrast between black, white and red and the ever changing colour of the dial is fantastic. For my wrist the case has a perfect size and the balance between watch and bracelet is also perfect. Since long no new watch in my collection has made me so happy and satisfied like this one.
Initially I had the intention to buy a strap for the watch as I didn't like the bracelet. But after only a couple of days on the wrist the strap topic disappeared completely. For me the bracelet now fits perfectly with the look of the watch, a perfect package indeed.

At least not in natural lighting. If it was a Seiko at Seiko prices I´d buy the whole production lot in a heartbeat

I have read a lot of comments like the one from Seamaster 2254 when the steel version was intoduced in 2014.
Many people didn´t like it at all. I remember that I was still very much in favour of the P versions at that time and could not reall apprecciate the white dial at all. It took me some years of looking and handling of the watch to learn that this new mode...
My story is very similar
I hunted the P and did not think for a split second about the A. Took me two years to come around. Sometimes still think about the P though ...

This model is kind of a new direction for PP and we have to wait some more years to see how the audience will judge on it on the long run. I am very surprised seeing all these steel 5960 here on the forum recently. What might be the reason for that?

Interesting to read more users starting to accept the bracelet. I am a fan myself but like to switch every once in a while for change. A big plus to have this option in a watch I think. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and pics with us!
