Focus on condition
seems more important to me than which series:
- many early models with hall marks on the left side of the case were polished such that the hallmarks are no longer in good shape
- any other polishing related problems?
- no (unpleasant) patina on the day-night indicator
- does the dial match to the production year (problem would be a 3/4 gen dial on a 2 gen watch from the early 90s, for example
- if later model: both case backs would be ideal…
- never without papers (does not matter if extract or original though)
- with platinum/WG: I prefer the later versions with white moon
- correct buckle?
