Fake Patek astronomical spotted in the wild...
So I was at a cigar lounge today and a guy here noticed my Patek 5130R world time, which is rare since no one ever recognizes it. Then he rolled up his sleeve and presented me what appeared to be something like a sky moon Tourbillon/astronomical Patek. Immediately I began noticing details indicating it was fake and well below standards of Patek, but did not comment as such. I asked to try it on and he obliged and I took two photos of it. I asked when he applied for it, as I had believed such a timepiece was by application. He said he knew a guy at Patek in Geneva. Okay. The astronomical case back was so atrocious, made only worse by the seemingly plain unpolished aluminum Deployant. It even had a missing screw on the lug holding the strap on. I said it was a nice watch and handed it back, absolutely perplexed why one would wear a fake Patek, especially one that pushed million dollar territory. Photos below...

What a cheap fake! No one he would buy thinking it’s authentic!
These monkey stories don’t exist anymore! The owner is very well aware that it’s a fake but presuming that it’s not or isn’t aware of it.
