...but I do like the inline calendar.

Almost all their watches in the current lineup are too large. For example the new salmon Calatrava I would buy immediately if it were 37 mm instead of 39, same with the 6196p. This one should be 38-39 mm.

Finally a new Ellipse that I can wear comfortably! ...  

However, the grey 5270p is probably my favorite. I would have said the green Golden Ellipse, but only if offered in platinum.

It a grind has one and it’s difficult to tell time on it. I like the salmon also but this gray is brushed similar to the blue. The gray 5270p is my runner up but would be too much of a stretch 💲wise. 5236 should be at least 30-40% off on secondary soon en... 

It’s just so interesting!! And I like the vibe. The new dial for the inline calendar is great too

The monochrome effect is nice, but I would need to see it in real life to know if I really like it. The movement is superb, but it should feature some inward angles, imo. My favorite release is the 5249R-001 (Fox & Crow): not one I will ever (be able to) ... 

richard daner versions with same level of dial detail and engraving by oliver vaucher can be found 1/10 of price- i have one in platinum

There are some real life videos on Instagram where you can see the dial play… It’s beautiful but unobtanium(for me)…

But should be considerably less on secondary market.

Patek, please get these pieces under 40mm

Was surprised with that case size.

I know Tim Mosso is also a fan of this watch with his famous 16cm wrist. If Patek made this watch smaller the text in the window would become illegible, at least for middle aged eyes! It’s a modern size that fits medium and large wrists very nicely.

I agree about the text. I love 3740 but it’s hard to see any of the calendar functions…

In shape and proportions, they're almost identical. The movements are related. But the difference in dials is night-and-day. Still, the 5236 would be my choice despite its larger case. Preowned value on this model is an excellent development for folks who...

It’ll be purchased on the gray market. There’s no way I can get it from an AD. I’m done playing their games.

I tried the blue version on. I loved the dial, the complication, BUT it is way too large and heavy for my taste. ...
