Dear all, It has been 3 years since my last post to this most esteemed community of enthusiasts. My days in watch collecting seemed all but over as I sold off my collection, keeping only my two most cherished pieces - my 5712/1a and the AP Openworked 1530...  

I had to let go of a few near and dear pieces to my heart for this watch. I might not have done so if I wasn't preparing for my next stage in life.

I think the blue-dial 5905R has a more lively vibe than the 5905P. Though personally I have a soft spot for blue-dial, platinum-case watches so I think it is hard to go wrong with either choice.

I have tried this watch and I can see why you would want it. The warm gold and the vivid blue dial are a fantastic combination in real life. Enjoy your new watch. All the best, Jon

In consolidating my collection, i got rid of my AP RO Chronograph in rose gold, blue strap. That watch caught the light in a most “look at me” brashness and I loved the attention. While the 5905R follows a similar colour scheme, it exudes a more refined m...
