Vacationing in New York City today and in the mens, (basement) section of Prada on 5th Ave., well known local rapper looks at my 5970G and says: "Damn, that's a serious watch son." illiciting Ho Ho HO type remarks from his entourage .. Too funny. 
.. also reminded me of a similar incident in LA 6 months ago at Fred Segal feet.. Kanye West noticeably oggling my 5136J .. my wife saw said gawking and didn't recognize Kanye ... she thought he was going to rob me in the store .. ROFL.

This happens to me too
but I don't get angry at all. Instead, I'd praise how lucky they are to own their "beautiful" Rolexes. I just don't want to hurt their feelings.

All most none of my watches ever get noticed
except for my Urwerk. That gets noticed by everyone and they all want to know if its the latest kenneth cole, for fossil. I normally just say yes.

I have gotten two compliments EVER on a watch. One--a busboy liked my TAG, about ten years ago. And two... I actually can't remember, but I know it happened. No one ever notices watches, ever... and if they do, I think it is outside of their ideas of 'rea...

Agree with you - I almost got robbed when I wore my gold Rolex - got tailed by 3 youngsters. Had to enlist the help of a friend with the physique of Hulk Hogan to escort me back to my car. Nobody looked at me when I wore my PP 3940.
