Did I miss something? I'm guessing Kanye West is black (which I did not know prior to your post). YOURS is the stereotypical post because it was clear in nothing but time's post that his wife thought someone might rob him simply because they were "oggling his 5136J .." Who said anything about a "black man"? Perhaps his wife fears rappers? Or Kanye is a watch enthusiast? (both categories come in all colors and creeds)
I didn't infer ANY RACIAL aspect to his message (titled Best Compliment From a Stranger) whatsoever - until you left your post - which is the really the one that should be classified as "quite uncomfortable", IMHO.

This happens to me too
but I don't get angry at all. Instead, I'd praise how lucky they are to own their "beautiful" Rolexes. I just don't want to hurt their feelings.

All most none of my watches ever get noticed
except for my Urwerk. That gets noticed by everyone and they all want to know if its the latest kenneth cole, for fossil. I normally just say yes.

I have gotten two compliments EVER on a watch. One--a busboy liked my TAG, about ten years ago. And two... I actually can't remember, but I know it happened. No one ever notices watches, ever... and if they do, I think it is outside of their ideas of 'rea...
