That is a great shot of the 5170G...quick question, do you like this more than the 5170G black dial variant? I somehow enjoy seeing a pulsometric scale. The black dial though version though more uniform and balanced (no empty spaces), feels a bit more to me like a "textbook answer". But it should have a very strong fa base. As for the 5070, I do believe collectors have overlooked that small movement/big case issue. It is indeed an iconic chronograph.

It was specifically the pulsometric scale that attracted me to this version.
Therefore,for me,a bit more attractive than the black dial G version. As for the picture,thanks for your nice comment.

I think you chose well my friend. The 5170 is an amazing reference and wears better than the larger 5070. I prefer the esthetics of the 5070 and also the CH27 (I am a fan of the Lemania 2310 base caliber)...
but that does not diminish the 5170 nor it's in-house caliber, both of which are excellent. I have also thought about adding a 5170G or P eventually if I stumble upon one in NOS condition 😉
A true dress watch...
...that happens to have a chronograph function. I don't need a pulsations dial, but I tried one one a couple of years ago--if it had leaf hands I'd probably own it. It is very classy and very easy to wear on my 7.25" wrist...
