On friday, August 23th, 2019 my beloved 3800 Platinum has been stolen in a train between Geneva and Berne There is a paricular mark between 5 and 6 on the lunette, my dog loved the taste of platinum... May be someone vomes across this rare watch.... ...  

btw, my dog preferred steel, had exactly the same about 10 years ago its my ROO bezel

It’s so sad to have anything stolen from you, especially such a beautiful watch. I’ve mentioned it before, these thugs have zero moral zero respect for the work you’ve put in. They often see it the other way around. You have so they have a right to own it... 

In a country where you think there is no criminality. Is it took off by thiefs, or is it took off from a table? Always wear a watch on a wrist while traveling, or tow it on your belly. The crimanals are a big problem. I always in for more police officers ... 

Hope you find it soon. Just a hypothesis... could it be your dog swallowed the watch?

Patek should be notified of such incident in case it is sent for service. Sorry to hear such sad incident and will be on lookout on grey markets.

Could you share how this happened? It is good to learn the methods of theft these thieves use so we can take precautions and guard against it happening again. Thanks!

Was the watch in your checked luggage or carry on. I assume it was not on your wrist when stolen. Very sorry. Make sure to send all the info to Patek.

I would have been less surprised such thingd happen anywhere else but I could have hardly imagined such things happen in Switzerland, I am shocked... I always feel so safe and secure in Switzerland, Most probably trains and stations are a good place for t...

You can submit your pictures, current contact info, and the police report (must have a complete police report) to Patek or your AD and they will keep it on file should it ever come back to them for service.
