all Swiss manufacturers are reducing the price in Switzerland and increasing it ...
in Europe. For years the CHF was artificially pegged to 1.20 to the Euro and now it gained 20%. So as a result of this the change is necessary to maintain some uniformity in Europe.
Asia is a different story but the increase in Japan doesn't seem to reflect that the prices went too far.
At the end of the day all manufacturers want to optimise their profits. Demand is still strong so I don't think that they would ever drop prices just because they went too far.
All luxury brands want to go as high as they can to maintain the very high margins. The only reason why virtually all are dropping the prices in some areas is, in my view, the exchange rate.
As you can see in the forum demand for Patek is still very strong so I would be surprised to see a decrease in pricing just for grace. If you compare the prices converted to the Swiss Franc before the 15 January you will see that there is essential no major change (or if there is is mostly on the high side)
