Additionally, when considering style and fashion, history remains the final arbiter. Many times today's "ugly duckling" becomes tomorrow's prized swan. Likewise the darling of the moment may prove dated and cringeworthy viewed decades later. Remember those great yearbook photos from the 70's? Anyone want to revisit those hairstyles and fashions, popular as they were then?? Bottom line is enjoy what you have with the confidence that styles will invariably change and classics will endure. I wouldn't want to revisit the 70's, but I'm sure glad I had the chance to experience them!

There's also more history with the blue dial. The white dial is flat and too "polar" in my opinion. Now if I can get my hands on one without paying out the a** and/or waiting forever!

The guys who want it as an "investment" piece tend to prefer the blue due to the reasons you mentioned. Personally, I prefer the white, as it is rarer and much crisper, IMO. -Dean
