Jaeger-LeCoultre: This chronograph was released in 1996...

3 years before the ALS Datograph. This is also a built from the ground up manual, column wheel chronograph movement with additional complication. What is everyone’s thought on that? Datograph is a beautiful piece and the collector community always lauds it as the “first”.

Montblanc: I can't agree more.

Unfortunately, none of these three is in my collection. I'm waiting for the right one, I suppose, to come along.

Montblanc: What a story!

Thank you for sharing your journey with this amazing piece. How would you compare emotionally and technologically between this Montblanc and the JLC Duometre Chronographe?

Rolex: I, too, have a love hate relationship with the fluted bezel.

Functions aside, i sometimes love the way it catches the light. Sometimes I feel it screams too much when I’m around town.

Rolex: Please elaborate.

Curious to know how the bezel bugs you. Thanks. Is it the aesthetic? Or the function?
