The Patek Philippe 5496 is another interpretation of a Perpetual Calendar only model in the collection.
It has the Calatrava 5296 style for the box, lugs and bezel, as the same 324 based caliber. However, it is equipped with a Perpetual Calendar complication in a 39.5mm width (compared to 38mm for the 5296).
The rose gold version was just unveiled this year and, as it is not one we see much, I will make a little review later.
I was not familliar with this Calatrava style from the beginning but the more I see it, the more I find it attractive. The Retrograde date also bring a little something different from the other QP references (5940, 5139, 5140).
But for now, just a wristhot to share.
Have a nice end of Thursday.
Cheers, Mark
